Do you have any #ttrpg regrets? I‘m thinking of systems you might have abandoned or stuck with for too long, books you should (not) have sold, campaigns that ended too early/late, etc.
@HeyeBodo , our local VtM anime reskin, dubbed "Эра Водолея" (eng. Aquarius Era, if I remember translation right), was actually fun AND fitting for so many campaigns in so many universes...
I regret not having enough time to play it back when in was popular in our lands.
@HeyeBodo I only regret not getting in to it much earlier in life.
I had every opportunity, I just. . .never did it. Not until my late 20s. Now I've been doing it for almost a decade, and I regret it wasn't _multiple_ decades. Teenage me was missing out. :(
@b4ux1t3 I regret my #ttrpg hiatus in the 2000s. Nearly ten years of missing out on the hobby. There was simply a lot going on (Uni, working abroad) and gamer‘s shame played into it, I have to admit. I was reluctant to pursue the hobby with other folks than my 90s #Adnd Gang of best-friends-forever. Stupid past-me
@HeyeBodo the Lost Citadel book by Green Ronin games. I wanted to like it so bad. It’s just too much stuff going on and too dense. https://greenronin.com/blog/2020/05/05/the-lost-citadel-5e-heroes-against-the-dead-at-the-end-of-the-world/
@HeyeBodo I have always wanted to play in a good Star Trek TOS-era campaign, but have never managed it.
@the_gneech one Day! Make it so.
@HeyeBodo I regret not having the energy/spoons to commit to a long term campaign
I enjoy hearing about others' campaigns though!!
@Rana great that there are many ways to enjoy the hobby. My friends and I always exchange long voice messages to inform each other about our campaigns. It has become a ritual that brightens up lunch breaks and long walks
