#Linux is nice and all, but #Blender3D on Linux is probably the glitchiest, most unstable and worst experience I've had on that OS (not counting setting up #Samba), at least under #Gnome #Wayland on (two different) laptops with #Nvidia. Text entry is glitchy, things stall, freeze, stop drawing and outright crash! So unusable that it's weirdly become one of that apps I still need #Windows for. 
@eobet #Wayland and #Nvidia are not at all a good combination, it is way better but still all glitchy and slow and error prone.
Due to that I would recommend to switch back to #Xorg for at least a year (or two) and hope that Nvidia gets its drivers in a state that is somewhat on the same level as the drivers from Intel or AMD.
@DarkMetatron haven't people been saying wait a year or two with Wayland for the last decade? 
Year of the Linux desktop is perpetually "next year" it seems...

It is not a Linux issue, it is an Nvidia issue.
Those drivers have to come from Nvidia, Linux developers can't do much about that.
With other drivers, from AMD or Intel for example, there are no such issues.
For me the Year of the Linux desktop is every year, for 20 years now and counting.
